What Therapy Can Look Like

In our sessions, we can incorporate a variety of approaches, such as talk therapy, expressive art, EMDR, Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP), or even dreamwork, depending on what feels right for you. You’re in control of the process—we’ll only explore the modalities you’re comfortable with, and I won’t push you toward anything you’re not interested in. My goal is to create a supportive, flexible environment where you feel empowered to engage in the work that resonates with you.

Talk Therapy

Talk therapy, often what comes to mind when people think of therapy, is a collaborative process where we explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences in a safe, non-judgmental environment. Through open dialogue, I help you gain insight into your challenges, identify patterns, and work toward personal growth. This approach is flexible and can address a wide range of concerns

IFS

Internal Family Systems is model to help clients explore and heal their inner world. IFS is based on the idea that we all have different “parts” within us, each with its own perspective, feelings, and motivations. Through this approach, I guide clients in connecting with their “core Self” to bring understanding, compassion, and balance to these inner parts, fostering emotional healing and personal growth.

KAP

Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy is the use of ketamine as a complement to psychotherapy. I deliver KAP in my practice in partnership with an organization called Journey Clinical, which has a specialized medical team that determines eligibility for KAP, prescribes ketamine lozenges, & supports me in monitoring outcomes.

EMDR

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing EMDR, a highly effective therapeutic approach designed to help individuals process and heal from trauma, anxiety, and other distressing experiences. EMDR utilizes bilateral stimulation, to help reprocess traumatic memories, reduce emotional intensity, and promote adaptive healing. This modality is often used for PTSD, but can also support clients with anxiety, phobias, and other mental health concerns.

Expressive Arts

Expressive art in therapy allows us to incorporate creative activities into our sessions, such as drawing, painting, or using other forms of artistic expression. This approach can be especially helpful when words alone aren't enough to convey your emotions or experiences. By engaging in the creative process, you can tap into deeper layers of self-expression, explore complex feelings, and discover new ways to communicate.

Dreamwork

Dreamwork is a therapeutic process where we explore the meaning of your dreams together. Rather than telling you what specific symbols or imagery mean, this approach is client-led, meaning you guide the interpretation based on your own thoughts, feelings, and experiences. Dreams can offer valuable insights into your inner world, helping you process emotions, gain clarity, and tap into your subconscious.

Relationship/Couples Therapy

In couples therapy, I often use the Gottman Method, an evidence-based approach designed to help partners strengthen their relationships through improved communication, conflict resolution, and emotional connection. My goal is to create a supportive space that honors your relationship and fosters growth.

Please note there is a one-time fee of $39 for assessments that are given after the first session.
